FATHER'S DAY (belated)

So I know this is a bit late but... well... I have no excuse really, except that I just didn't upload the pics on to my computer until yesterday. :)

So Father's Day was really nice.. Me and the kids woke Gus up with breakfast in bed, followed by homemade gifts and cards, a new shirt from the kids, a gift card for Ross from Jeff (one of Gus's favorite stores) and a gift from mommy that he will never forget................ (ok get your mind out of the gutter!!) ...The NEW BLACKBERRY CURVE! He loves it and I'm jealous as I had the Blackberry Pearl a few months ago, but I returned it because I just couldn't justify the extra monthly expense when I really don't leave the house much so I really don't need email on my phone.. ANYWAY... After gift giving the day was very relaxed. My parents came over and we just hung out, cooked steaks and chicken on the grill, kids swam in the pool... Not to different than most other weekends, but it was a VERY nice day, none the less. :)

Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure...

No... I didn't get any pictures of Gus with the kids... BAD MOMMY! But here is a pic of daddy with his girls from a couple weeks ago.

20 MONTHS!

So it was 20 months ago today that my tiny little peanuts were born... Boohoo!!! My tiny little babies are fast approaching 2 years old. Soon they will not be babies at all anymore but little kids.
They are talking so much now and they understand sooo many things that I say too. I guess we really have to start watching what we say around here now huh?

Don't you just LOVE close ups?? They are my FAVORITE thing these days! So I thought I would share a few of my favorites with you all!

"HOMEMADE" DONUTS

Thanks to Debi's fabulous idea on her blog, I decided to make the easiest homemade donuts EVER with Marcelo today! OMG were they good!! Thanks Debi! If you'd like the recipe please visit the other blog that I'm are part of (with Debi and other moms of large families) by clicking here. Seriously you will not find an easier recipe for donuts than this and they taste AMAZING too!

Donuts frying for no more than a couple minutes..
LEFTOVER donuts after all the kids had eaten. Think I made too many?

CODY'S PARTY

So we had a small party for Cody to celebrate him becoming a teenager. He had some friends over and his Grandma and Pappy also came over to celebrate with us. It was a really nice day. It was hot and sunny so he really couldn't have had better weather for a pool party. It was so cute because at first Cody was hanging out with all his guy friends and messing around in the pool, playing with squirt guns, jumping on the trampoline and playing video games. Then his girl "friend" came and soon he started paying less and less attention to the other boys at the party! LOL!! TEENAGERS!!!!

Here are some random photos from his party this weekend....

Britt was up late at a party the night before so the poor girl just couldn't stay awake.

Jeff trying to blend in with his surroundings.

This is their favorite thing to play these days.

Doesn't he look so happy that I took this picture?

Handsome Marcelo. Look at those eyelashes!

Present time for Cody.

SIDNEY CROSBY

***********************************************************
***********************************************************
So Gus went to the Mellon Arena for the sole purpose to record Sid saying 'HI' to Brittani and guess what??? HE DID! She is FLIPPING OUT! She has been just screaming and smiling and just can't contain herself. She just loves the Penguins and ESPECIALLY Crosby!!

Gus knows a spot where he can go and stand above the parking lot where the Penguin players park and he can talk to them but not get them to sign things so this is what he came up with since Britt is a MAJOR fan! Such a good Dad, isn't he?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!

So yesterday was Cody's 13TH birthday! I can't believe he is a TEENAGER!! It's just so crazy! I found myself thinking back to the day I had him. Boy was that a tough day! Trying to push out the ENORMOUS head of a 9lb 12oz baby was NOT EASY! To think that my little boy will be a 7th grader in a few short days, starting football practices, and soon he'll probably want nothing to do with me. Moms are such an embarrassment to teenagers you know! LOL

For his actual birthday I gave him his very first bottle of cologne. You know your kid is getting older when he wants cologne!! Saturday he'll get a few more gifts but you all will have to wait to find out just like him! haha!!
Here are a few more pictures from yesterday. Gus and Jeff had to work late so unfortunately they aren't in any of the pictures this time. But we are having Cody's party this weekend so I'll have lots more pictures then.

POOL FUN

I just wanted to share some pictures of the kids in the pool last weekend. This was the first time this year that the babies got in the pool. As you can see in the pictures, Kalia HATED it at first (I think because it was cold) but she warmed up to it pretty quickly. Sofiya LOVED it the whole time. She did make some weird faces in the beginning because of the cold water but she was just splashing and laughing most of the time! Marcelo just LOVES the pool, he could be in there all day! He especially loves when Daddy throws him up as high as he can! :)

Kalia is just not so sure about this cold water business!

Marcelo kept playing "shark" with the babies and they just laughed and laughed as he "chased" them around the pool.

See there's one of Sofiya's funny faces.. lol

Cody just LOVES the pool too. Last year I'm not sure if he ever left it, except to come in and sleep. :)

Marcelo enjoying his time with daddy in the pool. LOOK at that hang time!!
